It's February 2011 and Arab Spring protests have spread from Tunisia and Egypt to the tiny island-nation of Zitounia. Protests rage as the reporters for the heavily censored, state-owned morning news show try desperately to air the usual propaganda while the corrupt government is dismantled by revolution. This show is for anyone who doesn't want to read the news because it is too sad, or wants to learn more about the Middle East and North Africa, but is afraid it is too dense or boring. A bunch of goofy puppets will get you caught up on the basics through jokes, character bits, comedic sketches, and videos that are both silly and surprisingly informative. Written and performed by Leila Ben-Abdallah. Directed by Jamie Watkins.
